March of the Penguins

1. The penguins have to over come a lot of a challenges, like the weather and the fact that they have to wait for months and they all have to get together and warm each other, while that happens some of their eggs slip out and they end up being froze just with a second of being out in the cold.


2. There habitat is super cold, its a challenge for them because they have to wait for weeks while their partner goes out and get food while the one that stays with the egg is trying its best to keep it warm and also not let it fall. 


3. They have to adapt to being far away from the water because of the reason their predators will eat them, thats why they move far away from the water and it takes months for them to get food and go back and feed their partner. 


4. Theirs a period of time where their is no sunlight because of the reason the climate is to cold. The affects of this is that the weather gets even more colder then usual.


5. It is important that the grounds is solid because they will not be able to mate. The male will not be able to get on top of the female.

Mini Game

  Making a Mini Game is so easy, and that's because I have done this before. I like working on it because it can always help me on my game when I need to refresh my memory. The best part of making the mini game is that it helps you understand the code that the actions need. I like that the fact that I could go back and see the code for me to correct my errors. The easiest thing about the Mini Game is mostly adding the code but there's times you might get confused with other code. The worst part of the Mini Game is that some times the code does not work until you change things and make sure its correct.

2 Single Story 2011

What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?

It means to describe the life of that place or community. The way they live at that place, they ways the community is.

Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?

I have heard that people that live in the East Austin are least or middle class citizens. Everyone things that we don't care about school, that we are all bad and don't like doing anything, but the things that they are missing is that are parents do there hardest for us to have a home, food, and also are education. People would learn more about are community if they would live here for about a few years and see how things were going to change for them. Most of the population here is Mexicans and Africans. People assume we all do drugs or sell them just because of are community but they should experiment and see all the story's they have heard are not true.

Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?

I have heard that the North of Austin is the best side of Austin to live at because it is mostly were all the people visit or shop at. They might say there is not a lot of drug dealing. I learned this story by people that live in there. I think I would find out more information if I would visit it more or maybe even move up there.

How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?
A game would tell the players facts and also it would show how daily bases of that place or community looks like. It might even be better then writting a new aticle because it would be more fun and people would be more interested in it.

1 Cyberbully 2011

This is my first blog post of the 2011-2012 school year.

How does the main character feel about using Clicksters in the beginning of the film?
 Taylor at first was not sure about Clicksters, but after she found out that Scott was using it as well she decided to make her self the account.

What is her family situation?
Well her dad and mom are seperated. Her mom is super over protective with her, and also Taylor does not really get along with her brother.

What types of friendship does she have?
She had a normal, good friendship with her two best friends, but everything started to change when she made her Clicksters account.

When does the cyberbullying begin?
The cyberbullying began when she made her account, and it all started with Lindsay, the popular girl from school.

What is the result of the cyberbullying that Taylor experiences?
The result of the cyberbullying is people posted things that are not even true to her page, and also after a few days she lost her friends because of the things that were happening. The reason all this started is because of a guy named Jaimes that she had meet on Clicksters, he had posted that she had gave him STD.

What is the rest of the cyberbullying?
The rest of the cyberbullying is at school, Lindsay would say things that she would think were funny to say, but Taylor was not the only person that was going through this situation, there was a homosexual that was in the same situation.

What would you do if you were in Taylor's shoes?
If I were in her place I would of listed the people that were posting the comments and I would tell my mom to help me with the situation, also I would delete my account so the problem would not get worst.


How does Taylor react to the mean comments people keep posting about her?
She reacts shocked, she is not even aware of what people post for a little while because her mom had taken the computer away, because she posted a mean comment back to Lindsay. Well after a while that the cyberbullying began Lindsay and her friends had posted a video, acting out that Taylor was a slut, so Taylor got tierd of all those things that she tryied killing her because no one liked her and didnt wanna hang out with her, not even her best friends.


Does she ever try to stop people from posting insults? What could she have done differently?
At first she thought it was funny because she was already use to Lindsay saying insult, but then when everyone was insulting her she told her mom for her. So her mom tells her to delete the account but Taylor does not want to because she wants to talk more to Scott. Well if I were her I would of lisen to my mom and delete my account, maybe even move schools so things could changes.


How do you think Taylor felt about her friends betraying her?
Taylor felt lonley, she thought her friends would be there for her but she thought wrong because they said for her to not hang out with her no more because they do not want to be called things either.


What kind of changes do you see Taylor experience through the film?
Well she started getting close to her mom, she grew, she does not judge no one, she actually realized that there are people that have similar promblems to hers.

Winding Down!

My teams name is the Jolly Ranchers. :)
The name of are game is the Glaciers Dangers.
Are game is based on the glaciers, the reason is that there is to much CO2 in the air that is making the animals that adapted to them will become endangered!
We have completed all the scenes of are game.
Most of are team page is complete, we just need to add a few things.
Well we do not have to complete a lot of work, we are almost done with this assingment.
What I can do to finish before friday is for me to work on are team page.
The grade I would give myself would be a 90, because I have worked really hard and I admite I have improved with my skills.
The things I have learn this whole year are a lot but the main one is to how to work better with animations in flash and how to add code.
The main thing I am proud of from Globaloria is that I really improved and I might have a chanc to make a amazing game in the future.
The way I can improve next years is by improving working with flash, just like I did this year. I do trust on myself I would succed that goal.

Circle Pad is combined with the touch screen, traditional buttons, camera,  microphone input, and advanced motion control of the Motion Sensor and Gyro Sensor, the potential is extraordinary. The amasing thing that the new Nintendo inclueds is the Motion and Gyro Sensors. As the players are twisting their systems or moving them up or down, their system will respond instanly.

Has to camaras to see in 3D just as we do.  Letting us have 3D pictures as well. The screens let you see well, if some users use glasses they will not need them.
The new nintendo comes with its own charging cradel. You can leave the nintendo charging over day or night having to put it in sleep mode for it to maintains its power.
It also has a 3D Depth Slider allowing the player to immediately adjust the 3D settings on the Nintendo 3DS system. The 3D effect can also be turned down completely,  Nintendo 3DS games and applications can be played in 2D, and look better than any Nintendo handheld before it. The cost of the new Nintendo is $249.99

My game is about saving the animals that live locaded to where the glacers are located at. The homes of so many animals are being distroided. So the celebrity I would attach to my game would be Prince Royce because he is a bachata singer. I really love the way his musics sounds. Maybe with him in are game some fans of him will play are game and learn about the danger thats ocurring in with the glacers. If we maybe we have him say something about are game on tv or at concerts he has there will be a posability a lot of fans will play are game and see what we are trying to educate the world.


I would market my game by going on shows and maybe even on tv. I think with attaching Prince Royce we will really catch peoples atention.

I think the students from Massachusetts, have a good idea. I think that are school should do the same and raise up to 5,000 dollars or more so we can be a good help for the people. It will be a good help to Japan, by saving up a little bit of money and sending them food. Its a sad moment seen all that happen in just seconds. I don't know what I would do if I were to be in the place of all the people that have been killed. 
 
Another thing I would do is talk to some people located neer where there has been tsunamis, to tell them to leave there home and come to the U.S. for a while, because there might be a chance there will be another one neer by. So lets not take chances and save baby's, kids, and parents life's. I think this is a good idea because its less chances of more people being killed from this tragedy.

I think the NGP is amazing because it has front and rear cameras. It is very advance. It has motion censers, you can use the drum sticks to control the game. You can even touch the screen to play. It seems like the technology that is made is going to be transportable. This new invention seems like its a like the game sistems we have at home. This will be a good apportunaty to see the diffrences between the technology from back in the day and from the technology we have till this day.

 What Does the word "teamwork" mean to You?
When against P.S. 112, 150, and 115.
The children get to have fun. They get to learn new things. They get to learn how to work together, so they would communicate with each other.
Everyone supports each other and motivates each other to be good at the dance.

How do you see these students trying to work together?
They tried there best and worked as one.
They worked really hard and had a dream on winning.
They all learned how it feels how to dance.
They learned how they should work together on how to control there partner.
Some students can not even participate because its against there religion but they still help others to improve there dance skills.
How important was teamwork for these students?
It made them change. They change there ways of being. There in a better path. The program made a differences between them. It made them change by getting them in a idea of how hard is to work for something they want.

What do you think is the main message that these students should take away from this experience?
All the students have change since they started dancing. There points of views are different from the ones of the begging of the year.

How will you work together with your teammates in Globaloria?
I will share ideas with my team. I would corroborator in every assignment that we have as a team. I would be a good example for the other teams by doing what I am supposed to be doing.

The social issue on J. Lo Fur Bully on the Block is that animals are being killed for there fur. People like to wear real animals fur, its really expensive but they should think about how much animals are being killed just to look good.

The social issue of Super Chick Sisters is animal cruelty. The cruelty they go through during they are being killed. This animals are still conscious before they are killed and become are food. They go through a lot of pain before they are I food.

At the beginning of the movie, Jimmy is walking down the highway. Where is he going?
He is Going to California.


What is the problem that the little boy, Jimmy, has?
The problem that he has is that his twin sister died.



Jimmy likes to stack and build things. How does this relate to video games?
I think its related because they both have a way to be used. If you build something you will have to know what it is good for.



Playing video games seems to help Jimmy feel better. Why do you think this is?
I think its because he wants to take out all his stress. When something happens bad to someone, people do or build things for them to keep it off there minds.



What makes him such an awesome video game player?
What makes him a good player is the help that the giBrl is getting from the Nintendo Game company. He was playing all the What kinds of games do you see being played? Have you ever played any games like this before?
Mario Bros. 3, was one of the games that were played. I have played it before. The first time I played it was hard.



How many different game systems do you see in the film?




What did you think about the Power Glove?
I think it is a good technology that will make the game a little more fun to play because you can move your arm and hands, not just your fingers.

What do you think about Google hosting an international Science Fair?
I think its a good idea because all the people around the world can see what other people are able to do and create. This a good chance students that don't have the enough money to go to college, they may get a scholarship for science. I think its a really good thing for everyone.


Can you see yourself entering this contest?
No. I can not see my self entering because I am really not capable of doing a project and compete with people around the world. I really think i don't have a chance of winning because there will be a lot of students that are into science, they have a good chance of winning, not like me.
